When I was 10 my teacher told my parents to enroll me in art school to nurture my talent and love of art.  Being practical people, my parents laughed.  My degree is in business administration.  During my mid-life crisis, I went to cooking school and became a private chef.  While catering a high-profile day-time wedding with a buffet lunch, I lamented that my collection of vintage Corningware was not large enough to recreate a 1963 potluck, the meal was served on the happy couple’s stoically beautiful dishes.  I carried this pain for several years, until I chanced on a 2-day glass fusing class.  I was hooked.  Soon I was renting studio time and made a set of dishes for myself, replacing my blandware with fun, colorful plates.  Family and friends started receiving dishes for gift-giving occasions; and they were displaying them in their homes.  Soon neighbors started buying dishes from me, and now I’m ready for a new chapter …
